El Cimarrón Ensemble

The former group was formed by: Werner Bind (baritone), Francesca Canali (flute), Christina Schorn (guitar) , Ivan Mancinelli (percussion) , and Michael Kerstan, assistant of Hans Werner Henze (stage direction).

In the year 2004, a new member has joined the ensemble: Gundl Aggermann (flute) . In 2005, the group has collaborated with Angelo de Leonardis (bass-baritone). Since 2006, Robert Koller is the new singer of the ensemble.

Thanks to the big success in Hallein in 1999, the ensemble received an invitation of the Salzburg Festival, in order to perform the opera within the framework of the festival opening (July, 1999) at the Felsenreitschule Salzburg.

Furthermore the four musicians appeared in numerous representations at the Kammeroper Tübingen, at the Theater Nürnberg, at the Festival Aspekte in Salzburg, at the NDR in Hamburg (75 th birthday of H.W.Henze), at the guitar festival in Monopoli (Apulia), etc...

In 2007, the new CD-production of the "El Cimarrón Ensemble" will be released by the label Wergo.
