Ensemble El Cimarrón

Gundl Aggermann

is a native of Salzburg (Austria), where she received her first flute lessons at the age of 12 years at the music school.

She studied at the University "Mozarteum" where she earned her teachers diplom in 1993. Since 1992 she is holding a teaching position at the "Musikum" Salzburg. She went on to study with Gottfried Hechtl Performance at the Academy of Music in Graz, as well as with Hertha Mergl at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, where she gained her Diplom with distinction in 1996. She was a prizewinner at the Austrian competition "Jugend Musiziert". She has participated in masterclasses with Peter Lukas Graf, Michel Debost, Jeanne Baxtresser, Michael M. Kofler, Susan Milan, Eckhart Haupt.

Since 1996 she is frequently being invited to play with several orchestras in Austria and Germany. Her concert activities lead her through the whole Europe, China, and Syria. Gundl Aggermann can be frequently heard as a soloist with orchestra, as well as with chamber music ensembles with a wide repertoire from Baroque to Modern Music.

In addition she made numerous recordings for CD and radio productions.
